Face Feng Shui is the science and the art of establishing a correct and positive facial image and countenance so as to live and work in harmony and good fortune.

In Feng Shui, the home or premise has a Tiger side and a Dragon side. The Dragon side is the Left and the Tiger the Right. Strength and protection from the Dragon side is primary for the establishment to prosper and bring good luck.

In Face Feng Shui, there is also the Dragon side and the Tiger side. The Dragon side, which is the left side of your face, is your inner side and should be the strength of your personality. The Tiger side or the right is the part of you that you present to the world – your social mask.

You may have heard the phrase “your best side” in terms of photography. Very early in life we begin to prefer one side of the face to the other and when being photographed, we tend to present that side to the camera. We call this “the best side”.

We do this subconsciously because we prefer what we see on this side of our face. It could be the Dragon side or the left side because it has a distinctive mole, dimple or because the eyebrows are better shaped. But when you probe deeper, you may realise that you prefer that part or that half of you because it has an inner quality that you know you possess and cannot reach yet or, that you are really as shy, romantic or introverted as that side reveals.

But perhaps you prefer the more gracious and flamboyant part of your Tiger side. The side that you can control and present to the world or perhaps it is the side that you have developed over the inner self or the left side which does not appeal to you.

The left side of your face is controlled by the right hemisphere of your brain, the side that is instinctive and controls basic emotions. The right side of your face is influenced by the left hemisphere of your brain and this is the side of logic and conscious actions.

Man is constantly searching for his “true self”. Many consult me because they don’t really know what they want in life because their passage in life has left them totally confused and they have lost touch of their true being. Many, after achieving great success and wealth realise that all they have worked and sacrificed for have left them still dissatisfied and empty.

There are indeed two sides to any being as there are two sides to a coin. If only one side is appeased, then there is inner disharmony and imbalance. A simple experiment can reveal your social side and your shadow side, this is called chimerical facial composites where two right sides are digitally matched to get an image and two left sides are matched. The pictures you get of yourself can be quite a revelation.

As an example I have used Princess Diana. Most people are well acquainted to her life story. Now let us look into her deeper personalities to understand her better.

 

	Every candid photograph of her always shows her looking at the world upon her soulful eyes. This tells of her shy but passionate nature who feels with all her heart and is totally intense about anything that involves her.
Her Dragon sides indicate her inner persona and here you see a woman who is very intuitive and artistic with a gentle oval jaw line. Her eyes are “hanging” which indicates her inner turmoil and emotional disquiet. The eyes have drooping lids which give the eye a more triangle shape and this means that she is a charming person who is hungry for affection and attention from her husband and her friends. It also indicates a conniving and jealous nature. The downward drop of the tip of her nose hints of her craving for self-satisfaction in sexual and material desires. The pinched look at the tip of her nose reveals a temper that can get out of control.
	Her Tiger sides show how she developed into a stronger and more determined character as even her facial shape changed into a square, Mars-shaped face. Her eyes, though still “hanging or wolf-eyed”, have a more confident, challenging and forthright gaze. The tip of her nose is rounded and fleshy which indicates a person with the ability to attain wealth and the broad midsection indicates stubbornness.
The complexity of her many facets made Princess Diana the person who charmed and captured the imagination of the world and threw The Establishment into total chaos.
	Let’s now examine John. F. Kennedy whose premature assassination shocked the world.
The Tiger or social side shows a clean-cut, even-tempered man. His gaze is commanding and direct though his eyes are heavily lidded which reveals his calculating and decisive nature. His triangular eyebrows further confirms this. His eyes also indicate his great enjoyment of the pleasures of the flesh! His frown lines are straight and the single line denotes his ability to focus and concentrate on his choice of subject or his career. His lips are wide and generous and shows an open and communicative personality.
	His Dragon side is broad and burlier and speaks of a more aggressive nature. This side of him brings to mind his stand in the “Bay of Pigs” incident that almost brought about a nuclear war. Looking at his triangle-shaped eyes indicating a bullying and bossy person, the slight upward, outward squint shows an extremely intellectual and instinctive although capricious man who always wanted his way. His lips are smaller showing a more quiet and introverted side of him. Another pointer indicating JFK’s aggressive nature is the way his earlobes are pinned to the side of his face. His forehead indicates more frown lines and a more worrying side of his nature.
These two composites make up JFK – the charming and charismatic US President who had the aggressive dominating inner persona to deal with Wars and the Mafia. Could this side of him also have provoked his assassination? If you wish to discover the hidden side of your nature, you too can carry out this simple experiment – so why don’t you take an honest look at yourself and understand why you are at times still looking for something more to make your life complete, or what is it in you that makes you fall in love for the wrong person.

 

Feng Shui Make-Up Hint Many women battle every day to duplicate their eyebrows evenly. This is never an easy task so don’t try to overcome it. No doubt, beauty is assessed when there is symmetry but when your eyebrows refuse to be tamed to match, do not fret because a slight asymmetry gives some character to the face and can sometimes spice up a bland look. In this example, the gentle curve of the Dragon Side of her eyebrows shows a calm, passive, submissive and sentimental person. However, her Tiger side with “boomerang” eyebrows indicates that she has developed a more decisive and independent nature who is ready to stand up for her rights and enjoy a flamboyant life-style and exercise her creativity. So when trying to reshape your eyebrows, allow them to express themselves and reveal your true character. Picture perfection is not always the best for you.

CH Lim 19th May 1975 – Wood Rabbit CH Lim is a very intelligent and creative Rabbit. Unfortunately he is fully aware of it and has an arrogance about it that makes his tolerance level very low. This can cause him to encounter a lack of operation in his working environment. His eyebrows, though they are light, indicates his creativity and also a decisive character which makes him a good leader. But CH Lim must remember that unless he can get his colleagues or staff to work along with him, he cannot be a successful leader. Due to his light eyebrows, I would advise CH Lim to be very careful during the ages of 31 and 32. If he can be less egotistic and self-centred, life and love for CH Lim will be more harmonious, satisfying and happy.

Min Shan 29th August 1977 – Fire Dragon Min Shan has a lower zone that exhibits all the qualities of a Fire Dragon. She is determined, defiant and sometimes aggressive. She is unafraid to speak her mind and this can sometimes get her into trouble. Unfortunately, she refuses to back down when she is challenged and this can cause her problems in her emotional life and in her career. However, beneath all this huff and puff is a shy and sentimental girl just waiting to be loved and guided. But unless she is ready to allow this side of her to be exposed, only the tough and bossy side can be seen as this is the most dominate part of her face. To enhance her life she should count to 10 before she talks back or push her point too forcefully. Wearing Light Blue, Dark Blue, White and Black can give her a calmer and more controlled aura. Being less emotional can help her to cope with her life. Stress is a major problem when it comes to her health.

Angela 9th September 1982 – Water Dog Here is a very kind and generous girl as you can see from her wide and beautiful smile. Angela will go out of her way to help any animal or friend who is in trouble. She has to learn not to be too trusting as some “friends” can take advantage of her generosity and kind heart. But, Angela has also got a quick and fierce temper, and when provoked, can flare up with eloquent words. She would make a good lawyer or doctor or be involved in these professions. Her sentimental heart makes her very susceptible to romantic ideas and romance is something she longs for. With a smile like hers, she can melt any heart but she should not be in a hurry to tie the knot but rather establish her financial independence before she commits to marriage.

Rowena 4th July 1964 – Wood Dragon This is a beautiful example of lovely phoenix eyes. They speak of sensuality, creativity and success in love. Her look is steady and there is honesty in this gaze. But there is a slight indication of a “hanging” eye in the left eye which speaks of an inner disquiet or emotional disharmony. Judging from her date of birth, I will put it to Rowena’s erratic and hastiness and an insatiable need for attention and to be needed which can put a strain on her relationships. Although Rowena has a great talent for organisation and management, she will find a great deal of success when she deals with the public in a high profile job. Her best colours are Green and Purple.
